Microsoft won the “Game Publisher of The Year” award at the 45th annual Clio Key Art Awards in Los Angeles last Tuesday (via DualShockers). Since 1971, the Clio Key Art Awards have been celebrating creativity across different mediums including movies, TV shows and advertising. Over the last few years, the institution has also expanded its scope to the video games industry, giving some credit to the idea that medium can be considered as a true art form.

Overall, Microsoft was involved with 35 different pieces of work including CGI trailers, advertising campaigns and music that have been selected by the institution this year. The Survival Billboard campaign created by McCann London for the Xbox One version of Rise of the Tomb Raider also won the Grand Clio Key Art Award for games this year.
