Lync Room System gets a new Room PC View in the June update

Microsoft has rolled out the June update (15.10.0) for the company’s Lync Room System, adding a new Room PC View button on the console that controls the display of the in-room PC share screen. Now, if you want the screen share to display the room, you can easily toggle the button on or off.

“Apart from the usual fixes and minor updates, the June Update contains one major new feature, Room PC View. We added Room PC View to add functionality to improve the content capture experience for a computer that is always connected in the Lync Room System,” Microsoft stated.

For those that didn’t know, Lync Room System is basically Lync for a conference room. This new Room PC View feature is optional and system admins can control whether or not the Room PC View button is present. This option is perfect those those who are using a hard-wired in-room PC.
