NBC Sports Windows 10 app updated, just in time for the Olympics

NBC has released a significant update to their NBC Sports Live Extra app, as the new version 1.9.20909 is now a true Windows 10 app (via Windows Central). Once you update the app, you will see that the home section lets you easily navigate between Live & Upcoming content, Replays and Highlights while the hamburger menu lets you access general sports categories as well as a dedicated 2016 Summer Olympics section.

To get access to more content, it’s also possible to log into your cable provider right from the app. Additionally, the apps has a nice scalable UI and also supports notifications. As for the current Windows Phone app, it has yet to receive an update and it’s not clear if NBC will make its new Windows 10 app a true universal app. Anyway, this update is already a nice addition to the Windows Store.
