Microsoft has begun rolling out a new Office 365 Partner admin center, which offers new and efficient tools to manage Office 365 customers. The new Partner admin center will be rolling out to partners over the next few weeks, across the globe.
"The new Office 365 Partner admin center provides Partners new and enhanced tools to manage their Office 365 customers. The new Office 365 Partner admin center is rolling out to partners worldwide over the next few weeks. Previously, with Partner tools in the Office 365 admin center, you could perform delegated administration tasks on behalf of customers and create trial invitations, purchase offers, and offers for delegated administration," Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
With the new Partner center, you can view the customers for which you have administrative control over, all in one spot. In order to do this, head over to your Office 365 admin portal, and select Partner from the top header. Once you are in the Office 365 Partner admin center, select client management from the left navigation area to view the customers.
"In the Office 365 Partner admin center, you can view your customer list and select a customer to view summary information, including customer contact information and subscription details," Microsoft explains.
"You can now easily find, select, and perform administrative tasks on behalf of your customers"
You can now easily find, select, and perform administrative tasks on behalf of your customers. While in the client management section of the admin center, simply select the customer and then the corresponding quick link.
The new Partner admin center also allows you to view your customers' Office 365 service health status and details. This is a great feature that allows you to see if there is any incidents that have been impacting the customer. You can even see existing incidents and upcoming planned maintenance events.
Finally, the new admin center allows you to create, edit, and view service requests on behalf of your customers. "Once you’ve selected a customer from your list, click service requests in the left navigation. This displays a list of all Office 365 service requests associated with that customer that have been opened with Microsoft support, including the current status of the request, date opened, and date last modified," Microsoft explains.
The admin center also allows you to create trial invitations, purchase offers, or delegated admin offers to send to your customers, directly from the "Build your business" section of the admin center.
The Partner admin center is only available to Office 365 Partners who are a part of the Microsoft Cloud Partner program - whether it be Cloud Essentials or Cloud Accelerate Partners. This new admin center is rolling out over the next few weeks, worldwide.
