Microsoft today revealed the new Outlook.com email service, which is most likely the successor to the popular Hotmail email service. Outlook.com users are able to utilize a outlook.com email alias for their email, however, those on Windows Phone appear to have an issue.
Basically, the recommendation is simple. To avoid loosing access to your Windows Phone Marketplace account, Xbox Live, SkyDrive, and more by simply having your own outlook.com alias, just keep your existing live.com email account. Do not rename your existing live.com email to the new outlook.com. Microsoft is obviously still working on better integration between Outlook.com and Windows Phone, so for the time being, be extra cautious!
