New Windows 9 details leak, will launch next year and arrive with improved touch support

While we’re still waiting for solid information about Windows Blue, new info about the next major release of Windows is already surfacing. Today, a report from Win8China is claiming that Windows 9 is set to launch in November 2014, with a public beta starting in January 2014. It all seems to be moving a bit quickly.

Windows 9 will include an RTM version of IE11 too. While we’ve also seen IE11 on Windows Blue, it appears Blue will ship with a beta build of the software and not the final version. Windows Blue will adopt the final version however, just like Windows 7 has with IE10.

Microsoft might also be developing a mobile version of Windows 9, which sounds interesting. How will a mobile version of Windows 9 differ from the full version? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Update: It appears the original source link has since been pulled. This raises some questions about the authenticity of the leak. Of course, take this rumour with a grain of salt, as it could be false.
