Microsoft recently announced several new partners for its mobile operating system, Windows Phone. One of the new partners, Yezz, has showcased its first ever Windows Phone handset, named Billy at the ongoing Computex event in Taiwan. Yes, the name of the device is dedicated to Bill Gates. And we aren’t even kidding, but the same mobile company also sells the Andy lineup of phones that run Android.
The company showed off two handsets. The first one, Billy 4.7 comes with a 4.7-inch screen, powered by a Snapdragon processor (no word on how powerful it is) with a 13-MP shooter at the back. Whereas Billy 4.0 is the watered down version of Billy 4.7. It sports a 4-inch screen, a quad-core, possibly Mediatek, processor, and an 8-mega pixel shooter.
While Billy 4.7 is expected to cost $250, 4.0 will be available for around $140. Both the phones, much like other phones from Yezz, will be sold through Amazon. We will have more information on this later. Until then, you can watch the Hands-On video of Billy 4.7 below.
While you're at it, you can also watch the Hands-On videos of recently announced Windows Phone handsets from two other new mobile partners Blu and Prestigio. Both the handsets look quite promising. Cheers to our friends at Mobilegeeks.de for doing great video coverage of these devices.
