Nokia HERE Transit

Nokia has announced the availability of its HERE Transit application — application that was previously exclusively available on Lumia Windows Phone devices — for select Asha models. If you’re in possession of an Asha 500, 501, 502 or 503, it’s time for you to pay a visit to the Ovi Store on your handset and download Nokia HERE Transit.

If you happen to be one of those people who travel by public transport, this application will make your journey a lot easier by giving your scheduled departure/arrival times for public transport companies in your area. Additionally, it will also show you an onscreen walking route to your destination, which can be very helpful if you’re unfamiliar with the location. Interestingly, if the transit timings for you area are not available, it will show you the estimated time it would take to reach your destination, including the walking time.

Unfortunately, the application is not available in all regions and only includes the Sweden, Israel, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Spain, Finland, Hungary and New Zealand. There’s no word from the Finnish Maker about its availability for other regions worldwide.

If you’re residing in any of the above-mentioned countries, head over to the Ovi store using the link below and download the application.
