Nokia Lumia 1320 launches in China, followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong and more in the coming weeks Written by Hammad Saleem on December 27, 2013, 05:05AM
Back in October at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi, Nokia unveiled the trimmed down version of the Lumia 1520 dubbed as the Nokia Lumia 1320, which carries many traits of its big sibling. At the event, Nokia announced pretty clearly that it will launch the device in the first quarter of 2014 in China and Vietnam with a modest $339 price tag.
Now, it seems the Christmas wish of Windows Phone fans residing in China came true as Nokia announced that the handset will hit retail starting today, followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries in the coming weeks.
The exact price of the handset is not listed on Nokia China's website, but it should be around 2,050 yuan (converting $339 which is the price before taxes and subsidies announced at Nokia World), which is pretty decent for a smartphone of this caliber. The phablet carries some features that are present in the monstrous Nokia Lumia 1520, including a 6-inch display with Gorilla Glass, super-sensitive touch and a bunch of preloaded applications. Despite of having the same screen size, it features a lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with 245ppi pixel density.
Earlier this month, it was also announced that the Nokia Lumia 1320 will hit Indian shores by mid-January, along with the sequel of the best-selling Windows Phone device, the Nokia Lumia 525.
In case you can't remember, here's a summary of the specifications you get with the Nokia Lumia 1320:
- 6-inch display with 720p resolution
