Nokia unveiled their first Windows Phone 8.1 powered devices, the Lumia 630, 635, and 930, at the annual Build 2014 conference earlier this month. Nokia Lumia 630 and 635 are expected to hit the retail shelves in Asia and Europe next month. For those of you residing in Ireland, you be glad to find out that all three devices will hit retail in the country very soon. Recently, Nokia Ireland added all three Windows Phone 8.1 devices on their Lumia devices page, and lists them as "coming soon." We're guessing it will also launch on major carriers, including Vodafone and O2, in the country.
Let's just do a quick recap of what the devices bring to the table. Nokia Lumia 930 is the high-end device, which brings the same set of specifications as the Lumia Icon. It boasts a 5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz with 2GB of RAM on board. On the rear, it features 20MP camera for photos and videos, as well as a 1.2MP front-facing camera. As for the storage, it comes with 32GB of it, but without any memory card slot. The handset comes with Windows Phone 8.1, and to make sure there's enough juice for the handset, it comes with a 2,420 mAh battery as well.
As for the two entry-level siblings, Nokia Lumia 630 and 635 comes with a similar set of specifications with one major difference: Lumia 635 comes with LTE connectivity on board. Additionally, Nokia Lumia 630 also has a dual-SIM model, which are quite popular in emerging markets like China and India. As for other specifications, both devices feature a 4.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 854 x 400 pixels, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC with 512MB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot of up to 128GB. Other features include 5MP rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 1,830 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system.
There's no word about the pricing, but we'll update you as soon as they hit retail.
