Nokia Lumia 630 coming to South Africa this July, Nokia Lumia 930 to followWritten by Moin Anjum on June 27, 2014 - 08:31AM @MoinWinBeta
Yesterday, at an event in Johannesburg, South Africa, Microsoft announced that their latest midrange Windows Phone, Nokia Lumia 630, is set to make its debut in the local market. The Nokia Lumia 930 will soon be available too.
Nokia Lumia 630 features a 4.5-inch display (854 x 400 pixels), 5MP camera, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC with 512MB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot of up to 128GB and runs Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system. It will be available to the South African market in July for R1,999, more or less matching the Lumia 520 at its launch (price wise).
The Lumia 630 was “shipping as we speak,” Patrick Henchie, head of products for South and East Africa, said.
The company didn't offer much details on the Nokia Lumia 930, which features a 5-inch full HD display, 2GBs of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and 20MP camera. Henchie, however, said that it will arrive in South Africa by the end of the third quarter this year -- most likely in September.
