Nokia Lumia 920T launched in China, is the regions first Windows Phone 8 device
Great news for those who want to own a Lumia handset in China. Microsoft and Nokia have announced the launch of Nokia Lumia 920T in China, which is the regions first Windows Phone 8 device. The Lumia 920T will go on sale by the end of this year and will be available in black, white, yellow, and red.
"First, at a ceremony in Guangzhou, Nokia and China Mobile announced the Lumia 920T, which is important for a couple of reasons. It’s the first Windows Phone 8 device in the country and the first to support the TD-SCDMA wireless 3G standard there. It’s also the first Windows Phone on China Mobile, the world’s largest cellular carrier," Microsoft stated in an official blog post. This comes as great news for those who live in China and wish to purchase a Windows Phone 8 device on the China Mobile cellular network. “People around the world are responding positively to the new Lumia devices, and we’re confident that the enthusiasm will extend to China with the Lumia 920T,” Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said in a statement. This phone is expected at the end of this year and will be available in four different colors; black, white, yellow, and red.
