Nokia Lumia 929 makes a Fry’s appearance, accidentally listed as 928 Written by Alan Buckingham on January 26, 2014 - 06:09AM
The Nokia Lumia 929, also known as the Icon, has been making a number of surprise appearances lately. We’ve seen it up for sale in China, and then it was briefly shown off on the Verizon site in the US. All of this despite the fact that neither Nokia nor Microsoft has actually confirmed the existence of the handset.
There are rumors of release dates, most notable among them seems to be February 5, but now we’ve received one more leak. A dummy display model of the phone was put out at Fry’s electronics store and a savvy Redditor managed to spot it a grab some pictures. It had been accidentally labeled as a Lumia 928.
The device has a five-inch 1080p display, 32 GB of storage and runs on a Snapdragon 800 processor, or at least that is what we have been hearing.
You can check out the images taken by L064N posted below. While February 5 has been a popular rumored release date, it’s also possible we’ll need to wait for Mobile World Congress later in the month for the real thing to be officially announced.
