Last month at the Mobile World Congress event, Nokia unveiled its first Android-powered smartphone: Nokia X. The phone has already started selling at many markets including India and China. And now, the handset has got its first update.
Bumping up its version number from v10.0.3 to 11.1.1, the update brings, among a couple of other things, the option to change the color of tiles for third-party apps.
After updating the phone, you’ll see Nokia X platform version reach 1.1. However, it doesn’t update the core Android OS, JellyBean 4.1.2, it is based on. The 16MB update comes as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. You can go to the Settings -> About phone -> System updates to snag the update manually.
It is nice to see Nokia releasing updates to the phone within days of its launch. Do you own and use a Nokia X device? If so, how is your experience so far?
