Office for Business

If you are a user of Office 365 for Business, you now have another option for a start page. You can configure the web portal, which is the default screen you see when you log in, to something similar to the consumer counterpart at Office.com.

This new page shows icons of your apps like in the Windows Start Screen. If this quick access to your apps appeals to you, you can get this new start screen by selecting ‘Office 365 home page’ in the ‘Set your start page’ option in the settings. If you don’t want to make it the default and just try it out, simply click the Office 365 logo.

There are also options for your start page to be Outlook, Calendar, People, Newsfeed, OneDrive, Sites, or Tasks, if you prefer launching right into your most used application.

In addition to easier navigation of apps, Microsoft has included download links for Office 2013 and for the mobile apps on the new start page. Aside from current applications, this would also be the most visible location where new services, such as Delve, pop-up for your account, so keep that in mind if you’ve been waiting for them.Â
