Opera now default browser on all Nokia X smartphones, including Nokia X2

Popular web browser, Opera, will be the default web browser for all the smartphones in the Nokia X lineup. Opera packs in its signature compression service, Opera Turbo, and arrives the same day as Microsoft’s launch of the next phone in Nokia’s X lineup – the Nokia X2.

Opera has been available on Nokia X devices since the beginning. “Our companies have enjoyed a long history together, and this represents a huge step forward for both of the companies,” says Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “We have worked closely with the Microsoft Devices Group on this project, to make sure the users of Nokia X affordable smartphones can have the best web browsing experience right out of the box.”

Opera is available across several popular platforms and has 350 million users. Beside Opera Turbo, the mobile browser also sports a Discovery feature that lets you find great content from across the Web. To make things convenient for users, there is a Speed Dial feature that lets you navigate to your favorite websites in a single click. You can download Opera from the Nokia Store.

Do you think it should arrive on Windows Phone as well? Let us know.
