Earlier this year, Microsoft started testing a new Outlook.com Premium email service which offers an ad-free inbox, five personalized email addresses on the custom domain on your choice and more. Following a few months in public preview, the service now seems to be available to all users in the US.

According to the official web page, you can try Outlook Premium for free for the first year even though Microsoft mentions a “special price of $19.95/yr (regular $49.99/yr)” right now. We successfully signed up with several Outlook.com email adresses today, and it also seems to work outside of the US despite Microsoft’s claims of US exclusivity.

After signing in, you will be invited to choose your personalized email address with the custom domain of your choice. Microsoft will help you with suggestions but you will also be able to configure it with a domain that you already own. While it’s possible to skip this step, you’ll have to do it to enjoy the ad-free experience on Outlook.com.

Back in April, the official web page stated that the premium service would be priced at $3.99 per month, but according to these new pricing details the service would now be slightly cheaper than that following the end of the free year offer. We invite you to try to sign in for Outlook Premium over here and to let us know in the comments how it works for you.
