Plex Pass for Windows Phone and Android adds Camera Upload feature Written by Alan Buckingham on May 14, 2014 - 06:32AM @alanbuckingham
Plex is a combination of media server and end-user apps that will run on almost any platform. Once the server is set up, you can access pictures, movies and TV shows from other computers, mobile devices and even set-top boxes like Roku and the new Amazon Fire TV. Now the software is set to bring a camera upload feature to Windows Phone 8.
"Today, we’re happy to let you know that Camera Upload (our popular Plex Pass feature for automatically uploading photos from your device right to your Plex library) is now available for our Windows Phone 8 and Android apps", the service states.
This means that every picture you take will be automatically uploaded to the pictures folder on your Plex server -- that also means you may want to be careful about what you are doing.
Plex is not the first service to introduce this feature, as Dropbox and Google Plus also allow customers to do this. It ensures your phone's image are always backed up, and the feature has proven popular with other services. You can grab the update now from the Windows Phone Store.
