Pre-order and download Rocket League for Xbox One now, available to play February 17th

Rocket League, the much anticipated multiplayer-based sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, is now available for pre-order. Rocket League releases February 17 and it is a bargain at just $19.99. According to Larry Hyrb, aka Major Nelson, the Xbox One version of Rocket League will have some special bonus content:

“All “Game of the Year Edition” content, which packs every item from the previously-released DLC Packs, “Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars,” and “Chaos Run” into a single package + 2 Xbox One Exclusives (The Halo “HogSticker,” an alternate version of the Warthog, and the Gears of War “Armadillo”).”

Rocket League is a physics-based soccer meets driving game that focuses heavily on multiplayer gameplay. Rocket League will have ranked and unranked multiplayer game modes like 4-player local Xbox One splitscreen, up to 8 players on Xbox Live with game modes like 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4, with private match support featuring named rooms and optional password support. There will also be an “Unfair Mode” with av2, 1v3, and 1v4.

Rocket League promises to have “billions”of customization options available with special “Mutator”game settings like controlling ball type, ball speed, boost strength, and various other settings option. Rocket League will also feature six arenas to choose from: DFH Stadium, Beckwith Park, Mannfield, Urban Station, Utopia Coliseum, and Wasteland.
