Microsoft has already launched the successor to the Lumia 520, the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 620 handsets, and now apparently it is readying the launch of the Lumia 730, the step up from the company’s last year Nokia Lumia 720.
Courtesy of unnamed sources, the Lumia 730 is pegged for a launch in August. With the mid-range budget Lumia 730, Microsoft is planning to bridge the price gap between the Lumia 630 and the Lumia 930. The smartphone is tipped to have some distinguishing features.
The said sources assort and corroborate the previously heard product codes RM-983, 984, 985 with Lumia 730. As opposed to Lumia 720, its successor is said to have a 5-inch display, with the screen resolution going up to 720p. It will be powered by Quad-core Snapdragon 400 and Adreno 305 CPU.
Cell shutterbugs will appreciate the improvements in the camera front, going up from 6.1MP to 8MP. As for the front camera, we are not sure what shooter will it possess, but the source mentions it as “big selfie cam”.
According to the tipster, the device will run Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 OS out of the box. The design of the device is expected to go through some makeover as well. The Lumia 730 is said to arrive on AT&T, Verizon and others by the end of next month.
