Russian OEM Fly to launch Windows Phone 8.1 powered Era handset for 10

It’s raining Windows Phone! We just saw Chinese OEM eSense showcasing a Windows Phone handset which is thinner than the iPhone 5s, and now another OEM from Russia is embracing Microsoft’s mobile operating system.

The Russian manufacturer Fly is launching ERA that runs Windows Phone 8.1. The dual-SIM capable ERA sports a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 screen resolution. Inside the plastic body with polished metal finish, sits a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor alongside 512MB RAM. Fly’s ERA comes with 4GB internal storage, and sports a 5MP shooter at the back and 0.3MP camera upfront. There is a 1500 mAh battery to power up the device.

The price of the device is rather interesting. At $110, Fly’s ERA might be a better choice than Microsoft’s recently launched Lumia 530. The smartphone has a power button on the right side, while the volume rockers are at the left side, which many of us might find convenient. What do you think about it? Sound off in the comments!
