Microsoft is slated to release seven patches to fix twenty vulnerabilities in the upcoming October 2012 Patch Tuesday. These patches deal with Microsoft’s Office productivity suite and the company’s Windows operating system.

Unlike last month’s Patch Tuesday, which only had two updates, October’s update deals with one Critical update and six Important updates. Microsoft is set to release these updates on October 9th and they will address various remote code execution and elevated privileged issues with Microsoft’s Windows operating system and Office productivity suite, as well as SharePoint Server, SQL Server and other products.
