Skype Version 6.8 iOS Update

A month ago, Microsoft updated its Skype for iOS devices to leverage new iOS 10 features such as integration with Apple’s digital assistant Siri. So far, it was only possible to ask Siri to call Skype contacts but the Skype team is changing that today with the new version 6.27.1.

At last, you can now use voice commands to send Skype messages to any of your contacts. To do it, you will first have to check your Siri settings and grant it access to the Skype iOS app. Additionally, the new Skype for iPhone is bringing back Skype recent messages and Favorites on the wearable device. Here is the full changelog:

  • Send Skype messages to your Skype contacts using Siri
  • View your Skype recent messages and Favorites on the Apple Watch again
You can now use voice commands to send Skype messages.
