For those having troubles with the installation of their Office 365 subscription, Microsoft just made life a lot easier with a new and interesting tool: the Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365.

The Support and Recovery Assistant is an easy to use app that asks users simple questions regarding some common Office 365 problems. The app will also make attempts to implement certain resolutions on the behalf of the user.

The Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 is an easy-to-use app that asks you some simple questions, tests for some of the most common Office 365 support issues and attempts to implement resolutions on your behalf. While the current version is focused on some the more common scenarios people encounter with Outlook, the Support and Recovery Assistant will gain new troubleshooting and resolution capabilities in the future. The Support and Recovery Assistant is built to automatically update itself as these new capabilities become available, says Microsoft via its blog.

If you’re interested in getting the app, download and install it from diagnostics.outlook.com.

After using the tool, Microsoft would like if users could provide feedback in order to help make the Support and Recovery Assistant much better than it is now. Users are not required to do this, however.

Would you like a version of this app for your favorite operating system where Office supported? A Microsoft had the following to say in response to an Office user:

“…at this point we only support Windows, although the Windows application does have a scenario for troubleshooting Mac issues, as well as mobile issues.”
