Microsoft was said to be cooking up an update for the Surface Pro 3 ahead of its launch, addressing some issues that were present. You be glad to know that Microsoft is rolling out the update which addresses some power-related issues, in addition to enhancements to boost the performance of the device. The news is also confirmed by ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley who was informed by a Microsoft’s spokesperson about the update.
The update is not a big one, and hardly takes a few minutes to install. For those of you who pre-ordered the device and are expected to receive it tomorrow, it’s best to install the update first before you start playing with your Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is set to land in the US tomorrow at Microsoft stores and Best Buy — only the Core i5 models as of now. Customers who pre-ordered their tablets will also receive them tomorrow, while those placing their orders for the 128GB i5 version of the tablet may have to wait until 30th June, or they can visit the Microsoft or Best Buy store near their area to see if they have one in stock for in-store purchase. For the Core i3 and i7 versions, users may have to wait for a few more months — lands at the end of August — before they can get their hands on the other variants.
