And finally the day has come! Microsoft’s latest Surface tablet, Surface Pro 3 is now available for purchase in the U.S. and Canada. With Surface Pro 3, Microsoft expects to replace your laptop. Its pricing starts at $799 and goes all the way up to $1949.
This is Microsoft’s third attempt with the Surface lineup. The product however, hasn’t yet paid-off for the Redmond-based company. The new tablet though — which sports high-end hardware and runs Windows 8.1, seems destined to change the figures.
Surface Pro 3 sports a 12-inch screen with a humongous 2160×1440 pixel touchscreen. It has the Intel Graphics, and is powered by an Intel dual-core chip. Microsoft is offering several variants that will suit your processing needs. From 1.5GHz i3, 2.9GHz i5 it scales up to the 3.3GHz i7 processor. It offers 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and on the storage front there are 64, 128, 256 and 512GB memory drives.
The i3 and i5 versions will be available in August in markets including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom.
