Tile Me for Windows Phone gets an update with high-quality PNG support Written by Hammad Saleem on February 09, 2014 - 01:05PM
Tile Me! is a handy Windows Phone application that lets users create tile images of themselves which can later be used as a profile picture on social networks. Recently, the application received an update, bumping it to version 184.108.40.206 and introduced a few new features and bug fixes.
"Tile Me! generates a Me tile from any of your pictures that can be used on social networks or message boards as profile pictures. Select a picture from your library, choose a color and share the Windows Phone love with your friends," the app description reads.
I personally like the idea behind this app, as it lets fans of Microsoft's UI promote something they like on Twitter and other social networks. The latest update brings the ability to save the Twitter background image and Facebook cover photo in high-quality PNG images, as well as a few bug fixes and enhancements. Here's a complete change log of the Tile Me! v220.127.116.11:
- Twitter background and Facebook cover are now in high quality PNG format
- Added option to hide phone specifications in Twitter background and Facebook cover
- Fixed a bug with the screenshot position on the Facebook cover
Head over to the Windows Phone Store and download the Tile Me! application for your handset. It costs $0.99, but there's a free version available as well.
