Windows Everywhere

As Microsoft makes its transition into a devices and services company, we are beginning to see more products and services tied together. In a new TV commercial, Microsoft showcased an example where one experience can take place across every device.

We’ve embedded the video below for your viewing pleasure. As you will see, Microsoft showcases Internet Explorer as the browser built for touch, the Bing search engine with a beautiful new homepage image every day, the ability to use Skype to call anyone, SkyDrive integration, play games and watch media content via Xbox Games, and an app store with numerous apps.

With all these services, Microsoft ties them together with Windows. You now have one experience across your PC, tablet, and smartphone.

Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments below.

Update: While the video was uploaded to Microsoft’s YouTube account today, the video itself is actually old. As our reader Randall Lewis points out, the video makes mention of over 50,000 apps in the Windows Store. The Store currently has over 100,000. Either way, the video is great and highlights Microsoft primary point of having one experience across all devices.
