Thanks to the GDR3 update for Windows Phone, app developers can add a setting for custom tones for reminders and notifications.
That’s why today, Windows Phone Central has reported that the WhatsApp beta app now allows users to customize their own ringtone for individual and group chats. Getting a custom tone for WhatsApp has been one of the most requested feature by Windows Phone users, and thanks to GDR3, the WhatsApp team is finally able to fulfill Windows Phone users' needs.
