Windows 8's Halo Spartan Assault game set for release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Microsoft’s Halo Spartan Assault app that is currently available for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT, as well as Windows Phone 8, will soon be available for those on the Xbox 360 or Xbox One platform. Microsoft has confirmed that this game would be arriving in time for the holidays.

“Halo: Spartan Assault – the top-down, twin-stick shooter released over the summer for Windows 8 PCs and mobile devices – is coming to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One by the holidays, Microsoft said this morning,” a report from Kotaku stated.

This game for Xbox 360 and Xbox One will feature a new online co-op mode as well as some new missions showcasing that mode. The Flood will also be an enemy in the game. The expansion from the original game, called Operation Hydra, will also be available for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Halo Spartan Assault has seen popularity on the Windows and Windows Phone platform since its release. It is nice to see this app make its appearance on Microsoft’s consoles, for those who wish to continue playing this game on the big screen.
