Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 has been rumored to be in the works for a little while now, expected to launch for developers in October/November, Update 2 will further improve the platform before Windows Threshold in 2015. According to a new rumor, Update 2 will include an organized Settings app, wider availability of Cortana and more.

According to the rumor, Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 will include an updated Settings app which includes the ability reorganize settings into categories and so fourth. The rumor has little to go by, but it’s definitely something that sounds plausible considering Joe Belfiore from Microsoft said himself recently that it was something on the company’s to-do list.

Not only that, but the rumor claims that Update 2 will see Cortana expand to even more regions in Alpha, meaning more people who use Windows Phone’s can get a taste of the personal assistant in their own region. Finally, the last feature pinpointed by the rumor is the ability to toggle mobile data within the Action center.

WinBeta cannot confirm whether these features will or will not be in Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, however they all seem very likely. Lot’s of these features are currently listed on the Windows Phone UserVoice forum, some being ticked off as being worked on. So, don’t cross these features off as not happening just yet, this rumor may have some ground to it.
