It has been a little while coming, but three Windows Phones are now available to purchase in the UK from Microsoft’s online stores. There are no new handsets to choose from, but this is the first time the devices have been available to buy direct from Microsoft in the UK.
At the cheapest end of the scale is the Windows Phone 8.1-powered Nokia Lumia 630 which can be yours for £129. With a 5MP camera and 4.5 inch screen, this is great entry-level device. Moving up a level, the Nokia Lumia 1320 is a 6 inch handset that will set you back £329.
Topping off the trio is the Nokia Lumia 1520 which boasts a 6 inch screen and a 20MP camera — yours for £549. As these are off-contract phones, you’ll find that the same handsets are available for less elsewhere, but it’s good to see that Microsoft is better catering for the UK market.
Now that Windows Phones can be bought from another store, could this help to improve Microsoft’s share of the mobile market?
