Word Puzzle is that latest Xbox One Backward Compatible title

Backward Compatibility on Xbox One is one of the most requested considerations that fans have put out there for the Xbox engineering team to work on. The library of games that have been made available from Xbox 360 classics to the more modern console is staggering. So it’s often that fans provide feedback and beg for their favorite suggestions to be added to the growing list of backward compatible games  for the Xbox One.

Today, Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb posted on Twitter about the next addition: Word Puzzle.

As a refresher, Word Puzzle, is simply that. It is a puzzle game that is based on the classic word searches that you’d find at the grocery store magazine, only with a bit more color. It was introduced as an Xbox Live Arcade game for the Xbox 360 back on November 7, 2007.

It’s definitely not Skate 3. Many fans have been disappointed with Mike Ybarra since he mentioned the potential of the game appearing as an Xbox One backward compatible game nearly one year ago.

In fact, Word Puzzle only had about 202 votes to bring it to the Backward Compatible list. Compare that to the thousands of gamers that have voted for more popular titles such as Skyrim, Call of Duty, Mass Effect, and more on Xbox’s User Voice.

Nevertheless, Word Puzzle will become Backward Compatible and there are plenty more to come. If you’re feeling adventurous, check it out on the marketplace where you can even try the free demo.
