While most Xbox Live Gold users are getting excited about the free games that they’ll be getting with their membership this month, they should remember that they also get some pretty hefty discounts on other games as well. The Xbox Deals with Gold that are being offered right now are pretty sweet, ranging from action adventure with Mad Max to the choose-your-own-adventure style Life is Strange. Whatever the gaming preference, this month’s Xbox Deals with Gold should have any gaming enthusiast ready to bust out their wallets on a couple of different occasions.
Here are all of the games being sold during this set of deals for Gold:
Mad Max ($29.99 USD, down from $59.99 USD) Xbox One
Become Mad Max, the lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. In this action-packed, open world, third person action game, you must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using brutal on-ground and vehicular combat against vicious gangs of bandits. Life is Strange: Complete Season ($9.99 USD, down from $19.99 USD.) Xbox One / Xbox 360
Life is Strange is a five part episodic game that sets out to revolutionise story based choice and consequence games by allowing the player to rewind time and affect the past, present and future. You are Max, a photography senior who saves her old friend Chloe by discovering she can rewind time. The pair soon find themselves exposed to the darker side of Arcadia Bay as they uncover the disturbing truth behind the sudden disappearance of a fellow student. Meanwhile, Max begins to have premonitions as she struggles to understand the implications of her power. She must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes to lead to a devastating future.
Author’s note: Life is Strange is the cream of the crop with this set of deals. This comes highly recommended to anyone who enjoys games in the “Telltale style” (The Walking Dead Game, Tales from the Borderlands) but with a much different feel and actual gameplay mechanics.
Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart ($6.69 USD. down from $9.99 USD) Xbox One

Thief ($7.50 USD, down from $29.99 USD) Xbox One / Xbox 360

Author’s note: This game was panned very harshly by both critics and fans on release due to bugs and general design grievances. Proceed with caution and read a few reviews before pulling the trigger on this one.
White Night ( $4.95 USD, down from $14.99 USD) Xbox One
Explore the macabre past of an old mansion in the 1930’s and solve puzzles of light and shadows in this fully black & white survival horror! Players are trapped in this nightmare where darkness is a constant threat!
Ironcast ($11.99 USD, down from $14.99 USD) Xbox One

Author’s note: Highly recommended. Rockstar nails it again, offering a noire mystery narrative that no other game has matched. Go for it if you have the cash to spare.
