We’ve already learned that two new updates would be arriving for the Xbox One. Microsoft promised dates of February 11th and March 4th, with the latter being support for the upcoming Titanfall game. Things apparently don’t always go smoothly, and today, Larry Hryb announces that the first update has just begun to roll.
However, not all users will see it right away. The Xbox Live chief explains “for the vast majority of Xbox One owners who use ‘Instant On’ (the low power state that allows you to instantly power up your console by saying ‘Xbox On’), the console automatically checks for updates when customers turn it off. This means now that we’ve made the February update available, the next time you turn your console off it will take the update during off-peak hours in your local time. All that to say, never fear you’ll see it sometime over the weekend”.
The update contains the ability to manage storage space, easily control your download queue, take command of the install lineup, view the controller battery life indicator and use a USB keyboard.
Customers should begin seeing the update shortly, if they haven’t already. If you don’t, simply follow Hryb’s instructions above.
