Xbox's Phil Spencer is the latest Microsoft excutive to do the ice bucket challenge

Continuing the trend of raising awareness of ALS, Phil Spencer has dumped a bucket of ice water on his head. Nominated by the creator of Minecraft, Notch, Phil Spencer has passed on the challenge to other big names in the video game industry. After an individual completes the Ice Bucket Challenge, they can challenge three other people who must accept the challenge and/or donate to support ALS.

Phil nominated Shuhei Yoshida from Sony, Reggie Fils-Aime from Nintendo, and Gabe Newell from Valve for the challenge. Yoshida has responded via twitter saying:

So far no word from Reggie or Gabe whether or not they are going to accept the challenge. It is nice to see these fierce competitors having some fun by challenging each other for a good cause.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a social media movement where people post videos of themselves dumping a bucket of ice water over their heads. So far a most of the big Microsoft names have showed up, including Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Satya Nadella. This ice bucket challenge has raised a large amount of money for finding a cure for ALS.
