According to Nat Brown, who is one of the founders of the Xbox entertainment console from Microsoft, if Apple were to enter the gaming industry, it would destroy Microsoft's Xbox, Sony's Playstation, and Nintendo's Wii consoles.

Today at IFO 2012, Sony announced a device that was leaked in images earlier this week, called the VAIO Duo 11. This device is powered by Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system! Let's take a look at the specs, which are user-configurable.

Leaked images show a Surface-like tablet device running some form of Windows 8 entitled the VAIO Duo 11. The device looks to have a slide-out keyboard, but details are unclear on whether or not it will run Microsoft's new Windows RT operating system.

Sony is now accepting registrations for the upcoming PlanetSide 2 Beta program. PlanetSide 2 is set to feature massive multiplayer battles, distinct empires to rally around, and enormous continents with intense ground and air combats.

The Kinect is a device that was originally developed for the Xbox 360, but the hacking community have managed to get it working on all sorts of other things. With influence from the hacking, Microsoft may plan to begin licensing Kinect for Sony TV and Vizio.

Sony has announced the release of a beta software development kit (SDK) to limited number of developers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Japan, in an attempt to woo developers on creating games for its PlayStation Vita and Android-based devices.

Sony has recently updated their terms of service regarding the PlayStation Network, clearing themselves from possible future lawsuits from users and companies.

In a recent interview, Sony's Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations, Rob Dyer, stated that Microsoft was dumbing down gaming with their exclusivity deals and are forcing companies to not want to take advantage of the PS3's technological advantages over the Xbox 360....

Sony has begun to offer PS3 owners the ability to download games with free bonus DLC goodies using its new PlayStation Network Play program, which apparently is a blatant ripoff of Microsoft's Xbox Summer of Arcade.

Yet another hack directed towards Sony. Is anyone keeping count? According to Sopho's Naked Security blog, a hacker was able to attain 120 usernames, passwords, phone numbers, work email addresses, and websites from a user database on Sony Europe's website.
