TypeScript 2.0, Microsoft’s latest version of its JavaScript superset, gets final release

Microsoft has just announced the official final release of TypeScript 2.0, its free and open source JavaScript superset programming language. The release comes after an initial beta back in June, and a production release from back in August.

To download TypeScript 2.0, however, you must  update TypeScript 2.0 for Visual Studio 2015 with Update 3. To grab it with NuGet, start using TypeScript 2.0 in Visual Studio Code.  For, Visual Studio “15” Preview users, however, TypeScript 2.0 will be included in the next Preview release.
