Acer Liquid M220 expands its reach to Russia and Canada

According to Russian website OneTile, Acer expand its reach into new markets in Russia and now appears in the Microsoft Store Canada. There will likely be the release of more non-Lumia smartphones when Windows 10 Mobile is released later this year. At WMC 2015, Acer announced the Liquid M220, a cheaper alternative to a Microsoft Lumia. Microsoft Store Canada is offering the Liquid M220 at about $99.00.

The Liquid M220 goes on sale in Russia for 4990 Rubles (about $89) in retail outlets. The Liquid M220 offers a 4-inch display, with a 800 x 480 resolution display, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, clocked at 1.2Ghz, 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage; expandable with a microSD card slot. The Liquid M220 also sports a 5MP main camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. The battery is pretty weak, considering it being only 1300 mAh.

The Liquid M220 is running the Windows Phone 8.1 and Acer promises that the Liquid M220 will receive Windows 10 Mobile when it is released later this year.
