Windows 10 build 10154: Store app drops beta tag, see's UI touch ups and improvements

Windows 10

The Store Beta app in Windows 10 has been with us ever since January, but in the most recent builds of Windows 10, the app drops the beta tag and gains a couple of new improvements gearing up for RTM in just a couple weeks. Furthermore, the old Windows 8 Store app (with the green tile) is no longer present in build 10154.

The Windows Store app in Windows 10, along with dropping the beta tag, includes a few improvements too. The back button is now integrated into the title bar, much like the other built in Windows Apps on Windows 10. Not only that, but the UI has also received a touch up or two in certain areas too.

​For example, the large header in build 10147 and 10130 is no longer apparent in 10154. The header is a lot thinner and looks a lot more streamlined with the rest of the app. We also noticed a new Share button on app pages, which opens the Share charm. This will allow for super easy app sharing with friends via apps which support it. Furthermore, the store icon on the taskbar matches your accent color too.

​All these changes are in preparation of the Windows 10 RTM, which is expected to happen within the next couple weeks. Windows 10 launches on July 29th, and you can reserve your free copy today on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
