It seems like Microsoft fixed those issues they had with the HP Elite X3 handset. The Windows 10 Mobile phone was planned on being held back from more sales until later this year but recently became available again. It looks like the camera crashes, and slow performance is causing the problems were fixed in the most recent update giving them the green light.

It’s better late than never for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update which is now rolling out across HP Elite X3. The update started rolling out today for users as a firmware update version 0002.0000.00067.0088. Windows Central confirmed that pre-launch issues such as the camera bugs were indeed patched up.

Today was the anticipated shipping date so perhaps the patch was planned to correspond with Microsoft Ignite after all. If you’re still looking to get your order in, check it out on the Microsoft Store for the price of $799 USD.
