Could a Surface-branded keyboard be in the pipeline for Microsoft? German website WinFuture.de has spotted a listing for a Surface Ergonomic Keyboard on the Bluetooth Special interest Group website earlier this week (via Windows Central). For now, we don’t know much about the keyboard except that it will use the latest Bluetooth 4.2 norm.

Microsoft is already selling a wide portfolio of wired and Bluetooth keyboards, though a Surface-branded keyboard would be a first for the company. The technology giant is reportedly planning a hardware event in October and this new keyboard could well be unveiled at this occasion. If you read our previous reports about the event, you may already know that Microsoft is rumored to introduce an all-in-one Surface PC code-named “Cardinal” and we’ll have to wait to see if this new Surface keyboard may be bundled with it.
