Sway coming to Windows 10, available in more countries on iPad, iPhone

Last October, Microsoft announced Sway, a new Office app for creating multimedia presentations with easier to use features for creation and design. The app also enables more ways to collaborate and share content through email or embedding presentations in websites.

After running cross platform previews of Sway on Office 365 and iOS, Microsoft announced today that Sway will be made available as a native app for Windows 10 when the new OS launches on July 29th. The Office Blogs announcement describes the new Windows 10 native app by saying:

“Sway for Windows will deliver a rich, touch-first experience that syncs your Sways across your devices and the web, helping you quickly create and share Sways that look great on any screen, for anyone you share with.”

Along with the upcoming Windows 10 app, Sway is now available on the iPad, joining the iPhone version on Apple:

Sway for iPad is optimized for the larger screen. It allows you to create, view and share Sways in landscape and portrait mode and also includes a few additional capabilities, such as the Remix! button for quickly trying out different layouts and styles.

New updates for Sway for iPhone were also announced, promoting easier switching between Edit and Preview modes, optimization for larger screens with the iPad, and other features such as ‘Remix!’ to quickly switch between different layouts and design styles. The announcement also stated the iOS version of Sway is now available in a total of 43 new markets and languages, with more languages promised as on the way.
