Xbox Music app for Windows Phone receives update after recent OneDrive integration

Last week, Microsoft unveiled an integration between OneDrive and Xbox Music, allowing users to stream their OneDrive music directly from the Xbox Music service. This new integration is free, meaning anybody with a OneDrive account can access their music without needing an Xbox Music Pass.

Today, Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Xbox Music app for Windows Phone 8.1, bumping the version number to 2.6.674.0. This update addresses a number of customer issues including:

  • Better explanation of how to get started with OneDrive in the Music App on Windows Phone 8.1
  • When you set a playlist to ‘Keep playlist offline’ it will automatically download all streaming tracks, whether from Music Pass or OneDrive
