6snap app update for Windows Phone 8 gets fast app resume, blur filters and more

Rudy Huyn, the developer behind 6tag and 6sec, just recently released a new app for Windows Phone 8 called 6snap. This app is the first full featured Snapchat app for Windows Phone 8 and today an update to the app has rolled out.

“6snap is the first full featured snapchat app for Windows Phone. Snap a photo or a video, add a caption, and send it to a friend (or maybe a few), etc… All snapchat features are included,” the app description reads.

In this new update, which bumps the version number to 1.2.0.0, you get a few new features to the app. 6snap now features a few new filters, similar to the ones on the 6tag app. Here is a breakdown of the new features included with this update:

  • Support “custom” value for story privacy (select which friends can see your stories)
  • Include all 6tag filters
  • Blur your pictures : manual blur, manual focus, tilt-effect
  • Landscape view to edit your picture (add text, draw, etc…)
  • Fast app resume
  • Optimization for low-spec devices
