Ahead of Build 2014, Nokia Lumia 1020 gets a price cut in Europe markets

Ahead of its April 2nd event, Nokia has dropped the price of the company’s flagship smartphone from last year, the Lumia 1020. The phone, which was originally priced at 495 Euros, is now selling at 399 Euros in Finland. In other European nations, the margin of the price drop is a bit smaller, where it’s available for 450 Euros.

Although the price drop in itself is great news, the timing is also interesting. Nokia is about to hold an event at the Build conference in a couple of hours, dropping the price of a flagship device often marks the arrival of its replacement smartphone.

Lumia 1020 is popular for sporting a whopping 41MP camera. While the phone is known for its camera, its other technical specifications are very impressive too. It sports an AMOLED capacitive 4.5-inch touchscreen of a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. Powered by Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon and coupled with Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU, the phone also has 2GB of RAM.

There are a couple of smartphones that are already tipped for launch at the event. Is there a high-end Nokia phone set for arrival too? We’ll just have to wait and see.
