Bill Gates: I'm part-time involved with Microsoft and that's not going to change

Recent rumors suggested that Bill Gates was returning to Microsoft after being gone for nearly 3 years. Now, we hear starting from the source. Bill Gates is not returning to Microsoft as he continues to be more involved with his foundation.

"Well, I made the transition to work full-time on the [Bill & Melinda Gates] Foundation, and that'll be what I do for the rest of my life. I'm part-time involved with Microsoft, including even being in touch this week to give some of my advice but that's not going to change--the foundation requires all of my energy and we feel we're having a great impact, picking good scientists, [and] look[ing] at what's working and what's not working. So, part-time Microsoft, but full-time foundation for all my future," Gates
stated during an interview.

So there you have it. Gates is only part-time involved at Microsoft.

Bill Gates stepped down from Microsoft back in 2008 to work full time at his foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill Gates has been involved in philanthropic efforts, traveling worldwide and sharing hsi vision on better health and agriculture can create a better world.

During the interview, a quote from Steve Jobs' biography which stated that Bill Gates was "unimaginative and hadn't invented anything" was brought to Bill's attention. Gates stated Jobs was "brilliant" and he enjoyed working with him on Mac software and also competing with him, but "because the Microsoft machines outsold his machines by a lot he was always kind of tough on Microsoft, but that's fine, he was a brilliant person".
