BlackBerry quietly launches enterprise service BES12 on Windows Phone

BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) platform, in the form of the BES12 app, has quietly made its way to the Microsoft’s mobile operating system. BES12 is the Canadian company’s focus on enterprise services and technology.

The service provides proactive monitoring and systems tuning, as well as automated problem solving across all supported platforms. Furthermore, with the new app, the company is also pushing tools that will enable developers to develop and deploy secure enterprise apps. The service also inherits Secure Work Space function of BES10.

The app is available for free download through the Windows Phone Store. Its app description states these features:

  • Automated configuration of work-related policies and Wi-Fi® settings.
  • Easy installation and management of your organization’s approved mobile apps.
  • Dual business and personal use of mobile devices for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies.
