CES 2014: HP unveils Windows-based ProOne 400 and HP 205 All-in-One PCs

Things are kicking off at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 taking place in Las Vegas. Lenovo unveiled a bunch of Windows-based products, but it’s not the only one to do so. Now HP is showing off two All-in-One Windows-based PCs, dubbed as the HP ProOne 400 and the HP 205. Let’s take a deep dive into what these two machines bring to the table.

Starting with HTC ProOne 400 AIO PC, which is more targeted towards business consumers. The machine comes in two versions, one of them features a 21.5 touch screen display with 1080p resolution while the second one boasts a 19.5-inch non-touch screen. Both offerings come with the latest Intel Haswell processor running  Windows 8.1 out of the box. 

The machine comes with a range of multimedia features including DTS Sound+ audio software, business-class speakers, with a Skype-ready webcam and microphone. The HP ProOne 400 AIO also comes with a DisplayPort, giving users the ability to attach a second monitor, along with 2 USB 3.0 ports for connecting other accessories. What;s more interesting is the HP WiFi hotspot feature, allowing users to share their internet connection with up to five devices, including smartphones and tablets. 

Starting today, the HP ProOne 400 is available in stores for $649 for the non-touch version, while the touch-enabled model is going to set you back $749.

HP 205

The more affordable HP 205 AIO comes with an 18.5-inch WLED antiglare display panel boasting a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels with an AMD E-series dual-core processor under the hood, as well as a built-in camera and microphone for communication purposes. On the connectivity side, it comes with  802.11 Wi-Fi, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, and a 7-in-1 card reader. 

Compared to the ProOne 400, the HP 205 offers entry-level specifications and a modest price tag for users who are looking for a portable and easy-to-set AIO PC. For those of you who are interested, the HP 205 is available for sale in selected countries with a price tag of $449.
