Flipboard for Windows Phone picks up an update, brings topics, and several new enhancements on board

Flipboard is one of the best apps available in the Windows Phone store, allowing users to read their favorite websites. When the app made its way to the Windows Phone store, it didn’t come with support for devices with more than 512MB of RAM, which was later rectified in the December update, and brought support for low-end devices.

Recently, the developers behind the app pushed an update, bumping it to version 2.6. The latest update brings a number of new features and improvements for the app, including the ability to follow from over 34,000 topics across multiple categories. Unfortunately, the topics feature is not available globally, and only users in the US, Canada, UK and India can make use of it. However, the company added that more regions will be added in the not-too-distant future.

Here’s the latest set of features introduced with the new update:

  • Flipboard for Windows Phone now has over 34,000 topics to follow what interests you the most.
  • Topics are supported only in US, Canada, UK, India. More regions will be added in the future.
  • You can manage your magazines. Change the cover, delete the magazine, and more.
  • More bug fixes and performance improvements.

Head over to the Windows Phone Store and grab the updated Flipboard app, let us know about your thoughts regarding the new features.
